On these webpages you will find up to date information on the type and distribution of habitats in the greeninverness area [map of greeninverness area]. The initial survey look place in the early 1990s. These paper maps were updated and digitised in 2009. Copies of the maps and associated target notes (key local sites for biodiversity) are available for download. The information is also available in KMZ file format, this allows you, along with some associated software, to create an interactive map of the area on your PC. To access these files you will need to sign an agreement with Highland Council ensuring that you are only using the data for personal use.

There are also lists of the species protected by law and some common species found in the greeninverness area.

This project was funded by greeninverness, SNH and Highland Council.
